Are you busy? If the answer is no, it's wrong. Because you should be busy putting on a nice dress. I feel like going out on the town. Wherever you like. Really, your choice in location tonight. I won't even roll my eyes too much if it's something that requires sitting still for hours on end.

Also, if you have any pressing paperwork, I should sign it tonight.

Also, also, I'll need whatever meetings I have over the next few days rescheduled. Thanks dear.

I'm on my way up to the bedroom? Office? Where should I be finding you? I'm going to go with the bedroom. So I can change into my suit. Or tux. Or nothing at all. What would be most appropriate for our night out? I think the paparazzi would say nothing at all. They haven't gotten a good picture of me that way in a long time.

You can come to the bedroom. In case I need to do you grievous bodily harm, it will be easier for you to recuperate here.

Tony made an effort to not actually procrastinate on the way to the bedroom. It was far too tempting considering he had a feeling that Pepper wouldn't be happy about him going off on a mission. Which had also made just running off without saying anything tempting too, but he was trying to do this proper. And that meant giving Pepper a heads up. And doing it in person. Even if it meant getting yelled at and pummeled.

Walking into the bedroom, he held up his hands in preemptive surrender. "Ok, first off: no one is dying, the world isn't ending, and the company is fine." He paused as his brow furrowed and he turned towards Pepper. "At least I think the company is fine. It's fine, right Miss CEO?"

"The company is fine." She looked up from where she'd settled herself on the bed, laptop on her bed and her phone on the nightstand.

"Now tell me where you're going and make it good."

Tony came to rest at the foot of the bed, arms crossed over his chest as he gazed out the window at the New York skyline.

"Uzbekistan," he puffed out. "JARVIS picked up intel about shading dealings going down with uranium and possible nuclear weapons and, shortly after, Coulson emailed me about a mission. We're leaving ass early tomorrow morning."

Pepper closed her laptop and set it on the end table, then reached out a hand for him.

"Ok." She sighed. "I'll move your appointments around. I'm guessing you'll be out of contact range?"

Circling around the bed, Tony took her hand and squeezed it before sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"Probably," he said before brushing his lips against her hand. "The suit has pretty communications range, but I'm not sure what sort of suit I might be wearing out there." He gave her hand another squeeze before leaning in to brush his lips against Pepper's forehead. "But hey, this'll be a walk in the park. I'm actually going to have back-up this time and not being slowly poisoned this time. Plus comfortable jet flying across the sea rather than in the suit."

She moved to hook her chin over his shoulder and slid an arm around his waist.

"It does sound like upgrade. Who knew not being a vigilante would be so easy?" She teased lightly. "How long do you think you'll be gone? More specific then 'a few days' please."

Tony laughed as he cuddled closer to Pepper. "If they aren't careful, I'll have them start serving martinis and install a stripper pole into the quinjets. So we can be properly relaxed before having to go into missions," he joked back before making a face. "No set time yet. I say we'll be back in time for the Help by Design event, so don't get all excited about keeping Steve entertained. Phil says it can last a week if it goes tits up. He is ready to face your wrath if it does." He wrinkled his nose. "But no spankings. He might enjoy it too much." He smirked as he nuzzled her forehead. "And I might get jealous."

"I'm not going to spank Phil." She rolled her eyes at him. "Honestly. And you don't have enough strippers with right clearances to bother with installing a pole in the quinjets. Unless you're going to start convincing agents they need cross training."

"Blindfolds. Solves the whole problem. And makes it that much more dangerous," Tony teased. "Although pole dancing is good for you supposedly. And I'll make sure they are equal opportunity with their strippers."

He raised an eyebrow. "So, you want to go out tonight? I still stick by going anywhere you want."
